Greenwich Summer Sessions
Greenwich Summer Sessions is an open-air concert series launched in 2010. The event is the brainchild of local promoter and Creative Producer Peter Conway.
In 2011 Greenwich Summer Sessions ran from Tuesday 26th to Sunday 31st July (see 2011 for last year’s line up). Like 2010, the event was set in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College on the River Thames in the centre of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site. Over the six days of the event, over 12,000 people attended the concerts.
Greenwich Summer Sessions is a highlight of The Greenwich Festivals; Music supported by Greenwich Borough Council (see Partners for more information).
Greenwich Summer Sessions 2011 coincided with the start of the year-long countdown to the 2012 London Olympics, and will return in 2012 with another series of concerts in the heart of Greenwich.
Set in a beautiful and intimate open-air atmosphere, Greenwich Summer Sessions is set to become one of the most established live events in London’s music and cultural calendar.
